Ah, so much fangirl squealing to be had!

Firstly, in completely squee-worthy news, I received a great big package of Free Comic Book Day comics from [livejournal.com profile] jordannamorgan! *dances* Thank you so much! I missed the day itself, but I had really wanted to see that Darkwing Duck comic they were offering. Of course, now that I have... I want that next issue.

Then, there's a new, full-length trailer out for the upcoming Fullmetal Alchemist movie (click the "streaming" link). It's got a lot of nice action sequences, though I'm not picking up too many plot details from it. Also, Funimation has announced information on the US release. Since [livejournal.com profile] jordannamorgan had asked: they're hoping to have it in theaters in early 2012 with the DVD release to follow in the spring.

Also, though I'm late in mentioning it, a new Rurouni Kenshin animated project has been announced. No word yet on exactly what it will be, but I'd like to join the people hoping to finally see the Revenge/Jinchu arc fully animated!

Lastly, [livejournal.com profile] seekersks and I are once more attending Otakon in July. Though, given the jump in the price of registration, I'm not sure about next year. Yikes!

As I said in my last fangirl flailing post, I want the revenge arc AND the battousai arc. It's only fair so we can an insight as to why there IS a revenge arc. ;)

Either way, I'm excited!

I thought the flashback was *part* of the revenge arc? None of it's in the existing TV series, just the OVA's that I avoided thanks to your warnings.

It's been years since I've seen it, but I think there's a lot more than what the flashback let on... At least, I think it was covered in the OVAs, which I still haven't seen.

Now I need a Kenshin icon.

But, I mean, I thought the manga included a big flashback to Kenshin's past with the revenge arc. Or does a flashback happen sooner? I know we got some little pieces during the Kyoto arc....

It did. It just wasn't added to the series, I don't think. After the Shishio arc I lost track of where the series was going and all I knew is that it went to filler.

I thiiiink there was a huge arc focusing on Sanosuke, too, that wasn't in the series? Or was it and I'm getting my mediums mixed up? Gah, I have to go back to my manga copies and check.

Eh heh... I still haven't read the manga, so I don't know. (Need to do that. One more to collect!) But, yeah, after the Kyoto/Shishio arc, the TV series went into filler. It was good filler, in my opinion, but I guess it didn't go over so well with everyone else and led to the series' cancellation.

You're welcome! Hope you enjoy the trailer! The only new information I'm getting is that it seems our escaped alchemist, Melvin, isn't in league with the wolfman... that or they have a falling out over the course of the movie.
