Art Post - Getting Warmer

So, that illustration for
jordannamorgan's "Family"? Might be almost done. I'm in the home stretch anyways. Here is the current, nearly complete version with all of the color placed and a tentative background sketched in.
The background is based on the Hughes' living room as seen here. Though that brilliant blue wasn't working for me, and the coffee table has been moved to accommodate Al.
I have some little details to fight with and some lighting to tweak, but... it's close? Though it's supposed to be Christmas in the fanfic, so I think some decorations are in order. Maybe a wreath on the window? Snow outside?

Date: 2010-11-03 01:59 pm (UTC)I do think I want snow. You know me ;) And, garlands how? Draped around the sides?

Towards her shoulder? As in up (toward the top of the image)? I was thinking stretch it more out (heading toward the right of the screen - viewer right). But then, that would make his feet not line up... wouldn't it? Or would it just require his leg to bend more?

And, I think it'd require his leg to bend just a little more and move it towards the right side rather than the top.

I'll have to fiddle with it this evening and see what you guys think ;)

Date: 2010-11-05 05:28 am (UTC)Do I need a helmet or a gas mask? Meh. ::gets both, a bulletproof vest and a riot shield::

Date: 2010-11-03 11:43 pm (UTC)I'm not good at drawing (at least not anymore), so I can't speak to the technical aspects of the picture. I just know I love it!
