The AU Crossover Drabble of Doom

mintysage's. She requested a Kenshin drabble. And, I am still trying to get her a canon Kenshin drabble. But, in the meantime, I decided to post this little thing I did for her. It's an alternate universe crossover not-true-drabble based on an RP we had going. Now, if that hasn't scared everyone away, the drabble:
Contemplation
Kenshin stared out into the unnatural light of the nighttime city. It was strange to hear from his father after so long. The father who had long ago walked away into the next world.
But, it was not altogether surprising. His father was one of the rare beings who could walk freely in and out of death. Though Kenshin suspected that after so long his father would never again quite fit among the living.
No, tonight, it was his father’s news that was surprising.
Had the situation really become so desperate? It must be. A daiyoukai who had forsaken the living world for nearly two hundred years did not trouble himself with anything less than the stirrings of an apocalypse.
And, he had chosen a boy to help Kenshin hold back the end of the world. Barely fifteen. Just what did his father intend for this lost descendent, this Inuyasha?

Sage and I have debated writing the entire story out as a full fanfic. But, we'll see.
