I've been following the Lackadaisy comic for... wow, well over a decade now. The art is gorgeous, the humor hilarious with a dark little edge, and the characters fantastic. And, now it has an absolutely amazing animated pilot episode that captures all of that!

Am I misremembering, or was this something that had a Free Comic Book Day preview years and yyears ago?

Huh. I wouldn't think it had a FCBD release because the creator originally released it on her deviantART page, and it's only ever been published in one of those big collected books rather than any kind of regular print comic. But, maybe I'm forgetting some promo they ran. The collected book came out in 2010, so it's been a while.

You're probably right. It was just that I remembered hearing about "Lackadaisy" ages ago, but it was probably from your squeeing about it. :D I'll have to watch the pilot properly sometime when I'm not worn out from work!

Probably. And, surely, somewhere in discussing "Soul Eater", I mentioned that Death the Kid reminded me of this darkly hilarious comic.
