The Annual Peppermint Round-Up

So, it's that time again. The time of year when all the peppermint goodies come out! Naturally, I collected a few with the help of my usual enablers, jordannamorgan and my aunt.

I also made my own peppermint bark again this year and had much more success in getting the two halves - white and regular chocolate - to stick together by not chilling the chocolate layer. So, slapped-together recipe success! (Sorry, no photos as I need to make more now after eating and giving away most of my first batch.) Now, on to the next challenge! This year, my aunt and I are trying a new chocolate orange cookie that uses cardamom.

And, in other news, yes, my annual Christmas art is coming along. Fingers crossed, it will be done on time!

Is that the peppermint pie from Walmart that you recommended last year? I might have to give one of those a try. :)

Yes, it is, and it's still good. Currently, they seem to be the only ones making anything like it.
