kristensk: FMA - Ed w/ automail blade (FMA - Ed No Choice)

Yes, it's another Bleach crossover drabble. I wrote this one around the same time as the others but held it back for tweaking. This one is actually a companion piece to "Instructor".

Reminder

Many thought the kidou master had no zanpakutou. Only a select few in the Fourth Division knew better.

It had confused him when he arrived in Soul Society. Learning about zanpakutou explained little.

Ultimately, Captain Unohana had offered the best theory.

His zanpakutou had taken on a form that held a deep meaning to his soul.

It brought a wry grin to his lips as he sealed the blade into its unreleased form and let his long sleeve hide it once more.

It was true. His leg had always reminded him of his failures. His arm he had given willingly.

Okay, going to work on my Archive updates now.

*noddles* nice one, even though I don't know the character...

Also, this weekend I had the great honor of meeting Anne McCaffrey!

It was Ed from FMA again. I just had this image in my head of his automail arm being his zanpakutou. He does frequently transmute part of it into a blade after all.

And, you did?! Wow! Where? Did you ask her any questions (and get answers)?

It was at a convention called Eurocon..its a huge scifi convention, that I found out about by coincident, along with that she was a Guest of Honor =D so I naturally signed up, along with a thing called a "Roundtable session". It was pretty awesome to talk with her ^^ and I got 2 of my books signed by her as well ^^ she read up from her book "The ship that sang", and I think not one eye was dry afterwards (though she said, that it was the first time in 54 years she had been able to read it without crying herself.)

She told us some pretty fun stories too XD among them, that her ex-husband once had an idea of telling her, "that writing about dragons would never get her anything"..then some time ago, she invited him to her place in Ireland, thereby showing him the house, the stables and so on that the Dragons had build...she told us, that the look on his face had been totally worth it XD
