Wowie... Last night, [livejournal.com profile] seekersks and I got to see the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. It was awesome! The music was great, and the light show was impressive (at least to me as I haven't seen anything like it before). And, I can now say that I've been to a rock concert... more or less. Seeker allowed that this was a first for the likes of me as I tend to stick to concerts by more traditional orchestras, but he felt it wasn't quite a true rock concert as there was no stage diving or mosh pit.

At any rate, they did the program/story from Christmas Eve and Other Stories, which is probably my favorite of their CD's. And then, they did some extra music, including selections from their other Christmas CD's and Beethoven's Last Night. They also did one song from their upcoming CD "Night Castle". It was the TSO take on "O Fortuna" from Carmina Burana, and it was cool. Of course, I already love O Fortuna/Carmina anyways, so there's something to look forward to.
