Fandom Stocking Wrap-Up 2015
And,
fandom_stocking is now over for the year. I didn't get as many gift!fics written as I'd have liked, but I got some amazing things in my stocking. Things like a wonderful post-anime Ao no/Blue Exorcist fanfic from
jordannamorgan that touches on all my favorite topics - what happened post-anime, demon!Yukio, brotherly bonding, all the good stuff. Then, there was more Okumura twins bonding from
bridgetmkennitt, a cute little Fullmetal Alchemist ficlet from
vexed_wench, a sweet Inuyasha ficlet with Sesshoumaru and Rin from
kiramaru7, well wishes, lots of gorgeous horse and tortie cat images, and a bonus book recommendation from
evil_little_dog.
Oh, and there was some extra holiday fun when my brother brought over a belated Christmas present to share: a selection of Japanese KitKat flavors. The citrus and dark/cocoa ones were my favorites.

*laughs* Pocky is plentiful here. We have it at Walmart and the ethnic-foods aisle of our Publix grocery stores. Of course, the shop has it too, but at a higher price.
(I'm still working through a big bag of Pocky I traded for a bracelet at Umicon. Our neighbors were two girls selling snacks from their parents' Asian grocery. They kept giving us tasty things to sample all weekend... which is how strawberry chocolates and coconut chips came hope with us too. *g*)

Well, I do recommend some of the KitKats. Of the four flavors I tried, none was truly bad and two were wonderful. (The apple chocolate was too strong for me, but it was a hit with everyone else.) ....I wonder if they make a peppermint and if it would be good with wafers.

I figured Pocky wasn't a rarity anymore when my mother brought some home from the local Walmart here in the back of beyond.

Now, those sound like good neighbors!
