Drabble Post - Abbreviated (FMA)

So, in the spirit of finishing up more of my written odds and ends, here's a drabble that should have been written two years ago. It's a continuation of a gag mintysage and I had going wherein a much younger and far less wise Maes Hughes gets a very ill-advised (and, worse, misspelled) tattoo. Abbreviated

“Well, it could have been worse.”

There was a smirk in Roy’s voice. Maes could hear it even if he couldn’t see it from his position on his stomach facing the wall.

“I’m aware,” he grunted. The bullet that had torn into the soft tissue of his right buttock had lodged there. Painful but not a life-threatening injury.

“It even missed your tattoo,” Roy continued.

“Imagine my joy.”

Where was that medic? Anything to escape Roy’s gloating.

“Except for the last three letters.”

Hughes paused. “Are you telling me I now have a tattoo on my butt that says ‘Gar’?!”
