Fic Post - Here There Be Dragons

This is so intensely AU and populated by fan versions of characters, I'm not sure if it even counts as a fanfic anymore. So, I'm just going to pop it here and say it's a short about dragons who can take human form. Set in "our" world more or less. The time period is deliberately vague.
