Me and My Memes
Personal Chatter: Well, things are looking better. Finally got part of what I wanted to do finished. Applied for that job I was looking at (though I've received an e-mail saying they need two more references than their application asked for, but oh well), so that major stress is gone. Now trying to focus on pic work and updating the Archive as I've gotten in a couple more fics (yes, Annu, I got yours!). And, I did finally get Chapter 6 of Miscommunication moving! It's disjointed, but it's moving!
Random Meme Thing I Swiped From Annu... behind the cut
a. Post a list of 15 Fandoms. (Book, Movie, Game, etc.)
b. Have your friends guess your favorite character from each one.
c. When guessed correctly, bold the line, include the character name, and why you like that character.
(Italicized titles are ones people never guessed. Yes, I got the idea from CK, Annu, and Sage.)
1. SWAT Kats - Both of them... with T-Bone leanings. Yeah, SWAT Kats just wouldn't be the same without both of them. They play off one another well.
2. Inuyasha - Definitely Inuyasha. I love stubborn idjits. And, I love how his mouth and his actions forever contradict one another. Yeah, we know you don't care, Puppy-Boy... That's why you throw yourself between the girl and the giant monsters all the time. (And, I love his ears because they're adorable.)
3. Star Wars - Eh, I think Sage and Annu both get points for this one. I do like Obi Wan (he's just cool) and Han (What can I say? I like disreputable guys with good hearts) a lot. But, I also like Luke.
4. Watership Down (book or movie) - Bigwig aka Thlayli. Another character very much like T-Bone. He's the muscle of the group, but no dummy by a long shot. He's the one to carry out the good guys' master plan in the final third of the book/movie. He's loyal and determined and just generally the kinda guy you want on your side.
5. Naruto - Naruto. He's much more easy-going and openly friendly, but a character from much the same character type as Inuyasha and T-Bone. The reckless charge-right-in, never say die type. I love 'em.
6. Bleach - Might have known Seeker would get me hooked on a show not many people have heard of. But, anyways, my favorite character is Kurosaki Ichigo, yet another character who often deals with obstacles by meeting them head on. I think what I admire about these characters isn't that they rush into everything full throttle, but that once they've done so and, predictably, gotten in trouble, they never give up no matter how much of a beating they take.
7. Titan AE - Shoulda noted this one earlier. Because it's a tie between Cale and Korso. Cale was the hero and saved everything and stuff (or whatever it was Annu said), but Korso came through for everyone in the end.
8. Trigun - Vash. Because he's a goofball. A hilarious goofball who knows exactly what he's doing even when he's acting like an idiot.
9. Stargate SG-1 - MacGy... I mean, Jack O'Neill. It's the dry, cynical wit. And, he's played by MacGyver (Richard Dean Anderson); how can you beat that?!
10. Rurouni Kenshin - Kenshin himself! I think the fanfic author Rozefire once summed it up best by saying something like, "He's sweet, he cooks, he does the laundry - what more can you ask for in a man?"
11. Sluggy Freelance - Torg. He's hilarious, and he usually means well... however badly his plans may turn out.
12. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - Leonardo. I don't know if I'd still pick him as my fave, but, at the time I first saw the show, I was all about the leader types. And, he had the coolest weapons as far as I was and still am concerned.
13. The Real Ghostbusters Peter Venkman. Another one that always entertained me with his wry little comments. That and his feuds with Slimer.
14. Darkwing Duck - Darkwing! I hated him at first. Hated 'im. I thought he was just an arrogant moron. Then, I saw the first episode and how genuinely upset he was when he realized the trouble his over-confidence had gotten him and, more importantly, Gosalyn into. That won me over. And, hey, he was hysterical to boot.
15. The Secret of NIMH - Justin... though Mrs. Brisby/Frisby is a close second. Justin because he was the hero and all brave and stuff and... he had an awesome swordfight against Jenner! And, Mrs. Brisby was great too. She's one of the most easy to relate to characters I've seen because she's just a normal person /mouse with no special skills or abilities, she's timid and often scared stiff, but she never gives up.
(Yes, I picked some oddball ones and some where I have more than one favorite. I had trouble thinking up so many. And, I tossed in some just so, if she tries it, Sage'll have something to think about (or not even know about, nyahahaaaa). She knows far too much about me and will have an easy time with any of 'em she's familiar with.)

Eeee-yikes! NOOooooo! Not the Fluffy! Actually, Sess is on my.. "hate/learning" to like list. I hated him in his intro arc, but then, he saved Rin and earned brownie points with me. He might now be climbing his way to fourth favorite character. Definitely my favorite to make mean jokes about.
